Creative IT started in 2009 with a simple idea: there was no reason a refurbished laptop couldn’t feel as good as a new one — if someone took the time to do it properly. So we did. Test every component. Replace what’s tired. Clean every keyboard. Grade every device honestly. Stand behind it with a real warranty.
17 years on, we’re still doing it the same way — from the same workshop on Castle Street. Our team has grown, the stock has grown, and the customer list now stretches from solo freelancers to Irish schools, councils and SMEs nationwide. But the bench, the process and the people who answer the phone haven’t changed.
If you’re buying refurbished for the first time, you’re probably nervous. That’s fair. Our job is to make it so you don’t need to be.

Source
We buy retired stock direct from Irish and EU businesses — ex-fleet laptops, lease returns, end-of-life corporate kit. No grey market, no parallel imports.

Test
Every unit goes on the bench. Battery health, screen pixels, keyboard, ports, speakers, camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Multi-point diagnostic before anything else happens.

Repair
Anything below spec gets replaced with original or like-for-like parts. New batteries where capacity has dropped. New keyboards for tired ones. New SSDs as standard. Then a deep clean.

Grade
Cosmetic grading on a five-tier scale — New, A+, A, B, C. We’re strict about it. If it’s a B, we list it as a B. See how we grade.

Warrant
Listed, photographed, and shipped with a 12-month warranty card. If anything goes sideways, you’re covered — parts, labour, return shipping.
Every device we ship is one less in landfill.
A laptop produces about 300 kg of CO2 before it’s ever switched on — mining, manufacturing, shipping. A second-hand one, refurbished properly, dodges almost all of that. We’ve been giving devices a second life since long before the word “circular” entered the conversation. It’s how we’ve always worked.
Devices that are genuinely past repair don’t go in the bin either — they get stripped for parts (used to fix others) or sent to certified WEEE recyclers. Nothing leaves the workshop unaccounted for.
